UNITED NATIONS (Reuters) – The United Nations Security Council on Wednesday condemned a mutiny in Mali and advised the soldiers included to instantly launch all federal government officials they had apprehended and return to their barracks without hold-up.
The 15- member council was briefed after soldiers ousted Mali’s president in a coup. Those soldiers promised on Wednesday to oversee elections within a “affordable” time and moved promptly to hold talks with among the West African nation’s most prominent power brokers.
