Later on in his interview, Trump said Russia permitted US forces to fly through its airspace which the US federal government informed Russia that it would “like” the nature of the American mission.

” We informed the Russians we were going in due to the fact that we were going over them,” Trump told press reporters throughout the press conference. “And they were curious, however we stated we’re coming. We said appearance, one method or another we’re coming.”

Trump continued, “[The Russians] were very cooperative, they really were great. And we said it would be an objective they ‘d like, too, since they hate ISIS, too.”

Trump stated al-Baghdadi blew himself and 3 kids up with a suicide vest when United States forces caught him at the end of a tunnel in Idlib Province.

” Last night, the United States brought the world’s number one terrorist to justice,” Trump announced at his Sunday early morning press conference. “Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi is dead.”

Critics of Trump’s current pullout insisted that Saturday’s operation would not have been possible if the US hadn’t had a presence in Syria.

” We must bear in mind that we were able to strike Baghdadi due to the fact that we had forces in the region,” Rep. Michael Waltz, a Florida Republican of Florida and US Army veteran stated. “We need to keep ISIS from returning by remaining on offense.”
