” Where is [Obama’s] regard for the guideline of law for the criminal activity that Michael Flynn was the victim of?” Gowdy, a Fox News contributor, asked on “ Sunday Early Morning Futures.“
” Remember, he was unmasked by somebody in Obama’s administration and then it was dripped … that is a 10- year felony, to disseminate categorized info,” he continued. ” Michael Flynn was a victim of that criminal offense.”
The Justice Department transferred to end its case versus Flynn after internal memos were launched raising serious questions about the nature of the investigation that caused Flynn’s late-2017 guilty plea for lying to the FBI.
” President Obama himself pardoned individuals for making incorrect declarations to the government,” Gowdy kept in mind. “He chose [Justice Department Inspector General] Michael Horowitz, that was an Obama pick.”
” Michael Horowitz discovered fault after fault after fault with the FISA [Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act] program and [former FBI Director] Jim Comey and [former FBI Deputy Director] Andy McCabe, so I am thrilled to hear President Obama’s newly found interest and respect for the guideline of law,” Gowdy continued. ” I simply want he would apply it equally to Republicans and Democrats.”
In Horowitz’s comprehensive report on the Russia examination‘s origins and the procedure utilized to obtain a monitoring warrant for previous Trump project adviser Carter Page, he revealed that there were 17 inaccuracies and omissions in the FISA warrant applications for Page, that included a doctored email and the failure to consist of exculpatory details about Page that might have impacted the court’s decision to approve the warrants.
Gowdy directed his next comments at the previous president. “The FBI used a dossier that was bought and spent for by your political celebration without vetting a single accurate claims because file,” he said. ” You put it in front of a federal judge, where is your concern for regard for the rule of law as it relates to Carter Page and what occurred to him?”

” The judge can sit there and not understand whether or not he’s going to grant that motion to dismiss. All the best prosecuting the case, judge. You got to have a prosecutor to prosecute the case, so if the DOJ is stagnating forward on Michael Flynn, I don’t think the judge is going to do it himself,” Gowdy reacted.
