The kidnapping of a 7-year-old woman from her South Carolina home on Sunday was apparently warded off by her stepfather, cops state.
The unnamed suspect– who is still on the run– supposedly went into the family’s mobile home located in the North Charleston location at around 2 a.m. He got in through an opened door, according to the Charleston County Sheriff’s Office.
The suspect fled from the house with the lady in his arms, police said. Right after, the stepdad heard her yelling and chased the set throughout the home.
As he chased after the male– who carried his stepchild– the tried abductor ultimately dropped her and fled, cops added
After searching the location, they stated the suspect stays at large.

” Deputies K-9’s and North Charleston authorities officers browsed the area, however were not able to find the suspect,” police stated. “Deputies have increased patrols of the location as detectives examine the incident.”
The suspect was recognized by police as a short male using dark clothing.
