A Florida lady is dealing with animal ruthlessness charges after almost drowning her feline, three days after the U.S. Senate voted all to make animal abuse a federal criminal offense, police state.
Edgewater police say they received a call about a woman harming her cat. When they got here, they discovered 37- year-old Amanda Goodwin in a drainage culvert “holding a feline in obvious distress.”

Amanda Goodwin, 37, is dealing with animal ruthlessness charges after nearly drowning her cat, cops say.

The Daytona Beach News-Journal reported that Goodwin and the feline were both wet and muddy, with the feline shaking and terrified.
” She was shoving the cat’s head in the culvert pipeline and putting dirt on the cat,” Fox 35 Orlando priced estimate a witness as informing cops. “I’ve never seen a cat pant like a pet. Its gums were white.”
Goodwin told officers that her feline, “Hubble” was hot and she was just attempting to give him some water after the set were locked out of her home by her granny, the outlet reported.

A witness who talked with Goodwin informed officers that she wasn’t making much sense.
” I asked if she was alright and she informed me she was taking the feline to Jesus,” he stated, according to Fox 35.

Hubble was taken to the Edgewater Animal Shelter. He is not believed to have any irreversible injuries.
Goodwin was charged with animal cruelty and was required to the Volusia County Prison after being examined by local fire rescue for chest discomfort, the Daytona Beach News-Journal reported.
