CNN anchor Don Lemon recommended Tuesday night that the “schedule of weapons” is what has actually contributed to the increase in Chicago criminal activity.

Chicago has actually witnessed a worrying boost in shootings and homicides in recent weeks, including Tuesday night’s shootout at a funeral house that left at least 14 injured, according to cops. The Trump administration has actually likewise consistently encountered Chicago Democrat Mayor Lori Lightfoot, who has actually slammed the White House for offering to send the feds to stop the violence.

During the nighttime handoff with “Cuomo Prime Time” anchor Chris Cuomo, Lemon revealed gratitude that criminal offense in Chicago is being discussed but alerted that political motivations might be behind it.

CNN’s CHRIS CUOMO CALLED OUT FOR MOCKING RISE OF CRIMINAL ACTIVITY ON TUESDAY, TAKING IT SERIOUSLY ON WEDNESDAY

” I’m happy that individuals are starting to focus on criminal offense, especially in cities like Chicago. But it is unfortunate that they’re doing it in a year where they can utilize it as a political cudgel to harm someone and attempt to assist somebody else,” Lemon stated.

” Listen, there’s spikes in criminal activity and there’s genuine work that needs to be done, right? Needs to be repaired. I lived in Chicago for a while. Every night when I lived in Chicago, there was a crime story, a shooting story. I’ve been doing stories about criminal activity at this network for so long. I’m grateful people are taking note of it however it’s been a problem for a very long time. And do you understand one of the biggest problems is? The availability of weapons. And you will not hear that from some people.”

Lemon appeared to take a different tone earlier this month, when he and Cuomo buffooned the increase in criminal activity throughout the nation, suggesting it was simply fear-mongering.

” Crime is rising as they defund cops,” Cuomo chimed in at the time.

” My gosh, it’s so bad!” Lemon included, impersonating Republican politicians.
