New York City Bill de Blasio is to blame for the city’s increasing criminal activity and exodus, previous cops commissioner Bernard Kerik said Thursday night on ” The Ingraham Angle.”

” You have a radical left-wing mayor that is supporting the Black Lives Matter and supporting Antifa, told his police department to take a light touch in dealing with the demonstrations that developed into riots that devastated the city,” Kerik told visitor host Raymond Arroyo.

” He let hundreds, if not a number of thousand individuals off Rikers Island, has actually sent them house. Some of them very, significant violent crooks.”

RUDY GIULIANI BLASTS DE BLASIO’S HANDLING OF New York City CITY’S INCREASE IN VIOLENT CRIMINAL ACTIVITY

” He has he’s cut back 600 positions on the plainclothes anticrime system, which is mostly accountable for taking weapons off the streets and pursuing violent wrongdoers in progress,” Kerik said. “Every relocation he has made has been done in an effort to reduce the cops department.”

New york city City saw more than double the daytime shootings– those that took place between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m.– from Might 1 through July 31 than it did throughout the same period in 2015, as the Big Apple continues to come to grips with the stunning uptick in gun violence, Fox News has actually discovered.

Kerik also disagreed with de Blasio blaming the coronavirus for people leaving the city.

“[De Blasio] is stating it’s COVID. He’s saying that people are leaving New york city City in droves and moving to other states as an outcome of COVID. COVID is an infection, it is temporary. No one is going to leave their home, vacate New york city City completely because of an infection. Nobody is going to do that,” Kerik said.

” However individuals are moving out of New york city City because they’re scared to death. Shootings are up in. Break-ins are up. Murder is up.”

The former top cop also blamed New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo for New york city City’s difficulties.

” And I have to put a few of the blame, Raymond, on the guv. He sees what’s taking place. He understands it. He gets it,” Kerik stated.

” Guv Cuomo was around in the 80 s and early 90 s with Giuliani and I and others entered into office and had to alter New york city City and lowered the violent criminal activity and murder. He understands how to get it done, how it got done. And he’s doing absolutely nothing about de Blasio’s failure and management as it stands today.”
