Outspoken Democrats— from far-left “Squad” members to 2020 governmental hopefuls– lost little time Saturday in knocking President Trump’s cautioning to Iran about possible retaliation for the U.S. airstrike that eliminated Iran’s Gen. Qassem Soleimani.
Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., addressed by calling the president a “monster.”
” This is a war criminal activity,” Ocasio-Cortez wrote. “Threatening to target and kill innocent households, ladies and kids– which is what you’re doing by targeting cultural websites – does not make you a ‘ruffian,’ It does not make you ‘strategic.’ It makes you a monster.”
Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., implicated Trump of “threatening to commit war criminal offenses.” “God assist us all!” she included.
Presidential candidate Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., expressed a similar message.
” You are threatening to devote war criminal activities,” Warren composed. “We are not at war with Iran. The American individuals do not want a war with Iran. This is a democracy. You do not get to begin a war with Iran, and your dangers put our soldiers and diplomats at greater risk. Stop.”
