There were 10 Americans inside a synagogue in Germany when a gunman unsuccessfully attempted to get in before eliminating 2 individuals outside on Wednesday, the U.S. ambassador to Germany stated.
The Americans are “safe and unharmed,” Ambassador Richard Grenell tweeted.
A greatly armed aggressor shot at the synagogue, which was loaded with 70 to 80 individuals observing Yom Kippur, the Jewish day of atonement.
The gunman then killed 2 individuals while outside the building and entering into a neighboring kebab shop, according to German authorities and witnesses.

The attack took place in the eastern city of Halle and is being related to as a hate criminal offense, according to a top German security official.
UN RELEASES FIRST-EVER REPORT ON ANTI-SEMITISM HIGHLIGHTING UPTICK
German Interior Minister Horst Seehofer stated the attack may have been driven by anti-Semitism and far-right intentions, according to prosecutors.
The German news magazine Der Spiegel said a 27- year-old suspect from the state of Saxony-Anhalt, where Halle lies, was detained.

The presumed shooter streamed 35 minutes of the episode on Amazon-owned Twitch, which confirmed the live broadcast in a series of tweets on Wednesday.
The account used was created about two months ago and the user had only tried to stream when in the past, the company stated
” A recording of the stream, which was automatically generated based upon the account’s settings, was seen by roughly 2200 people in the 30 minutes prior to the video was flagged and gotten rid of from Twitch,” it said.
” As soon as the video was gotten rid of, we shared the hash with an industry consortium to assist prevent the proliferation of this material,” Twitch said. “We take this extremely seriously and are devoted to dealing with industry peers, police, and any pertinent celebrations to secure our community.”
A representative for German Chancellor Angela Merkel stated that the shooting was “horrible news from Halle,” and that federal government officials had no additional info on the attack.
