MSNBC “Morning Joe” host Joe Scarborough on Wednesday suggested President Donald Trump is “ruining” his 2020 reelection opportunities by making himself a part of the everyday coronavirus task force press instructions.
Scarborough stated Trump is “scaring the hell out of citizens” by speaking at the instructions, keeping in mind when he said earlier in the week that presidents have “overall authority.”
” It resembles the kids in ‘Willy Wonka’ where they just keep eating and they keep exploding and the democrats have to resemble Gene Wilder in the first one, how about this, where Gene Wilder, as they’re running to doors and doing things they’re not expected to be doing and exploding, Gene Wilder going, ‘No, don’t. Stop,'” Scarborough stressed. “Well, Democrats have to be feeling that method.”
” He’s ruining his possibility of getting reelected by doing this every day,” he continued. “And, Mika, he heads out there and he’s terrifying the hell out of voters every day by what he’s doing. And then when he went out the other day or the day previously, I forget, I think it was the day previously, and he started– he sounded like [Benito] Mussolini by saying the power of the president is total and I have complete, total authority.”
