Thursday on Capitol Hill at her weekly press instruction, Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) stated a so-called “whistleblower” complaint versus President Donald Trump indicated a “cover-up” of President Donald Trump’s betrayal of “our national security.”
Pelosi stated, “Last week, we saw something that eliminated all doubt as to whether we must move on, distinct change in the body of understanding that we had on which to decide. So when people state to me what made you change my mind, I didn’t alter my mind, I have constantly been on the course of discovering the facts as we honor our Constitution. And the realities are these, that the president of the United States and his actions in a phone call with a president betrayed his Oath of Workplace, our nationwide security and the integrity of our elections. This is about the facts. This is about the Constitution of the United States. We have to make judgment in a query as we go forward. There are some in our caucus who believe let’s just have an impeachment. No, we have to have a query to additional establish the facts. There is no rush to judgment. In some methods, we are a jury, open to what might be exculpatory or not. But every day, the sadness grows because of the neglect for our Constitution that the president has ended up being more clear.”
She added, “The complaint states that the White House attempted to lock down all records of the call, particularly the word-for-word records.
