Politics Appearing Friday on MSNBC’s Early Morning Joe, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), without proof, claimed that “Russia has a hand” in President Donald Trump’s July discussion about U.S. military help and Hunter Biden with Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky.

MIKA BRZEZINSKI: Can you speak to those who may be still dealing with why [the Trump-Zelensky call] was so incorrect, we’re speaking about the focus of shaking down the leader of Ukraine to get information on a political challenger. By the way, having numerous countless dollars in aid held up. Could you discuss why this is incorrect and likewise extremely harmful.
HOUSE SPEAKER NANCY PELOSI: I fully value the requirement for a President of the United States to have discussions with leaders of other nations and some of that may wish to be held near to the vest as part of his job. However, I do not think it becomes part of his job to shakedown leaders of other countries utilizing taxpayer dollars to have them do something that remains in his political advantage. It’s wrong for any foreign government to interfere in our elections and you have the President of the United States requesting that. Now we’re participated in a cover-up of that cover-up. 2 wrongs do not make a right and they know how wrong it is.
I believe Russia has a hand in this, by the method. We saw what the Russian disturbance of our election last time, their interference, 100%confidence of the intelligence community, high confidence in the intelligence neighborhood, that the Russians interrupted our election. That was wrong. The integrity of our elections is main to our democracy. So what the president carried out in inviting outside intervention into our election, it exceeds the pale.
