On the exact same day that anarchists and Black Lives Matter fans breached the condominium where Portland Mayor Ted Wheeler lives, he provided a letter on Friday to President Donald Trump safeguarding rioters who have created chaos nighttime for more than 3 months.
” We don’t need your politics of department and demagoguery,” Wheeler composed, slamming Trump for what he called a “bumbling reaction to the COVID pandemic.”
While mentioning that criminals would be detained and prosecuted Wheeler defended what he stated are “10s of thousands of Portlanders” who have actually “in harmony opposed and marched for the honorable reason for fixing our broken criminal justice system.”
” They are part of the proud progressive custom of Portlanders defending justice,” Wheeler wrote.

Late Friday, Trump stated on Twitter that Wheeler is “unskilled” for his inability to maintain order in Portland.
If the incompetent Mayor of Portland, Ted Wheeler, does not get control of his city and stop the Anarchists, Agitators, Rioters and Looters, triggering terrific threat to innocent individuals, we will go in and take care of matters the method they need to have been looked after 100 days earlier!

Wheeler did not fulfill with people who inhabited the condo lobby for hours.
A video posted by reporter Andy Ngo reveals a black man banging on the door of Wheeler’s condo saying, “I got white individuals shit to do therein.”

Meanwhile, the violent rioting continued in northeast Portland, where rioters attempted to set the Portland Authorities Association structure on fire, according to cops.
The authorities news release said:
Arsonists put some particles, consisting of a large bed mattress, versus the front door of the structure, appeared to spray accelerant on it, and lit it on fire. The flames appeared to engulf the front door area of the structure and nearly reach the roofline. Due to the extreme life security concerns, the Occurrence Commander stated the event a riot. A caution was transmitted by loudspeaker that the occurrence was stated a riot and all individuals were to disperse instantly to the north. Failure to adhere to the order might subject them to citation or arrest to making use of tear gas, crowd control representatives, and/or impact munitions.
” Officers responded and moved the rioters away from the structure so the fire could be snuffed out,” the cops stated. “As officers approached, rioters tossed things at them, including rocks. Multiple officers suffered small injuries after being struck by rocks. Throughout the reaction, officers used crowd control munitions. However, no CS (tear) gas was deployed.”
” There was fire damage to the front of the PPA building (images). Officers also recovered a bottle which contained flammable fluid,” cops said. “An arson detective responded and gathered proof of the criminal activity. Officers made multiple arrests.”
