President Donald Trump on Tuesday urged Americans to wear a mask to assist fight the spread of the coronavirus.
” We’re asking everybody that when you are not able to socially distance, use a mask, get a mask,” Trump said. “Whether you like the mask or not, they have an impact, they’ll have an effect, and we require whatever we can get.”
The president discussed masks during a press instruction on recent flare-ups of the coronavirus.
This was the president’s strongest recommendation for using a mask, regardless of revealing apprehension for months about their efficiency at preventing the spread of the virus.
Showing his mask to one press reporter, Trump stated that he brought it with him and put it on when he was unable to correctly socially distance to prevent the spread of the infection.
” I carry the mask … I have the mask right here. I carry it and I will utilize it gladly. No problem with it,” Trump stated. “I have actually said that and I say when you can: use the mask.”
Trump remembered, however, that federal physicians when recommended versus using masks, but he said that he now supported the idea after the professionals changed their assistance.
On Tuesday, President Trump also promoted using a mask, sharing a picture of himself on Twitter.

Regardless of Trump’s support for using masks, he opposed setting a nationwide mask mandate throughout an interview with Fox News that aired Sunday.
” I want people to have a particular freedom, and I do not think in that,” Trump said, adding that he did not concur with the idea that if everyone wore a mask the infection would vanish.
Trump also stated throughout the interview that he was a “believer in masks” but included that “masks cause issues, too.
