Politics President Donald Trump ripped Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey as a “light-weight” for attempting to obstruct his rally set up for Thursday from happening.

The Trump campaign revealed Monday night that Frey was attempting to tack on a $530,000 security fee and other costs to the management of the Target Center for the arranged rally, prompting management to pass on the costs to the project.
” This is an outrageous abuse of power by a liberal mayor attempting to reject the rights of his own city’s locals even if he dislikes the President,” Trump project supervisor Brad Parscale stated in a declaration sent to press reporters.
In action, the Trump campaign threatened to sue the Target Center for a breach in contract.
” This last-minute squeeze appears to be absolutely nothing but a pretextual political effort with serious First Change implications,” a letter checked out from the Trump project’s legal representative to the Target Center’s management firm.
In 2009, President Barack Obama rallied at the Target Center, which led to an approximated $20,000 cost for extra security from the authorities chief, according to a report at the time.
In September, Frey said that Trump was not welcome in his city.
” While there is no legal system to avoid the president from visiting, his message of hatred will never ever be welcome in Minneapolis,” he said in September.
The Minneapolis cops chief likewise enacted a new policy banning the department’s police officers from attending the rally in uniform.
