President Donald Trump stated Wednesday in an interview he was considering providing his convention speech at the White Home.
” I’ll most likely do my own from the White Home,” Trump confirmed in an interview with Fox and Friends, noting it was the “most convenient and least pricey” alternative for security reasons.
The idea has angered critics who think the White Home need to stay a site for politically neutral speeches and activities.
The president was set to deliver his August 27 th election speech in Jacksonville, Florida, prior to a flare-up of the coronavirus in the state led the RNC to cancel those strategies.
Trump said he preferred the idea of providing the speech at the White Home.
” I think it’s a gorgeous setting,” he said. “I enjoy the structure, I’m there today, I invest a lot of time here … and I believe it’s a fantastic location and considerably agent of our country.”
Trump clarified, however, the choice was not formally locked in
” If for some factor, somebody had problem with it, I might go someplace else,” Trump stated.
