Video Game Of Thrones actor Charles Dance has revealed he ‘would sign’ a petition to remake the controversial final series.
The HBO dream came to an end in 2019 and was extremely divisive, prompting some ravaged fans to launch a campaign requiring creators to re-write the season in its entirety
And now Tywin Lannister star Charles has said he too was ‘dissatisfied’ by the show’s closing chapters.
‘ Well if there was a petition, I would sign it,’ he said. ‘I imply, I saw it. I continue to watch the entire series even after I ‘d been killed off in the lavatory.
‘ Since I simply believed it’s a wonderful television program, you know? I was really lucky to be part of it. I loved it; there were storylines [where] I would like to know what was going to take place to these people.’
Charles continued: ‘I know that the ending satisfied a lot of individuals. It also disappointed a lot of people, and I hesitate I am in the latter camp.’
The 73- year-old did praise the Video game Of Thrones showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss, nevertheless.
He added to PopCulture.com: ‘I think David and Dan raised the bar when it concerned tv screenplay writing.
‘ They are sensational. And for the entire thing to wind up as a committee, I simply thought, “Hmm, no.” I would state I was somewhat underwhelmed by.’
Charles’ comments followed his former co-star Nikolaj Coster-Waldau— who played his on-screen child Jaime Lannister– stated he ‘almost desired’ to contribute to a petition about remaking the show’s ending
‘ I understood the petition for a new ending, which I believed was amusing. I almost wished to donate to that petition,’ he divulged.
Video Game Of Thrones is available to stream on HBO, Sky and NOW TV.
