Chris Pratt has revealed the name of his daughter after his wife Katherine Schwarzenegger gave birth over the weekend.
The delighted father took to Instagram to announce the birth of his newborn and shared a picture of the trio’s hands.
He wrote: ‘We are beyond thrilled to announce the birth of our daughter, Lyla Maria Schwarzenegger Pratt. We couldn’t be happier. Both mom and baby are doing great. We are extremely blessed. Love Katherine and Chris.’
The Avengers star then shared two Bible verses to go with the moment as he added: ‘Psalm 126:3 The LORD has done great things for us, and we are filled with joy.
‘Psalm 127:3-4 Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, the fruit of the womb a reward. Like arrows in the hand of a warrior are the children of one’s youth.
‘Blessed is the man who fills his quiver with them! He shall not be put to shame when he speaks with his enemies in the gate.’
Sunday saw Katherine’s brother, Patrick Schwarzenegger, confirmed the news of Lyla Maria’s birth with the world.
He told Entertainment Tonight: ‘They’re doing great, just got her a little gift.’
Lyla’s middle name is a notable nod to Patrick and Katherine’s mother Maria Schriver.
They kept the pregnancy largely under wraps, with Chris confirming it on Twitter when his wife was nearing her due date.

Katherine is the actor’s second wife after actress Anna Faris, who he shares son Jack with.
Chris and Anna were married for eight years and announced their split in 2017, before finalising their divorce a year later.
He had asked Terminator star Arnie for permission to marry his daughter before proposing to Katherine in 2019 and, luckily for him, the Hollywood star is a big fan.
