Archaeology

Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu on Thursday hired historians, archaeologists, linguists and other scholars in the nation to unite in order to re-create India’s “genuine history” prior to the world.
” There is tremendous capacity to re-construct and re-correct Indian history, whose distorted kinds existed by colonial rulers. There are lots of great names like Shivaji Maharaj, Shankaracharya, Rani Lakshmibai and more, whose contributions are not much heard of. We require to re-discover ourselves and present the real history of India to the world,” urged Naidu, addressing the Punyabhushan award discussion ceremony in Pune.
Punyabhushan (gem of Pune) award exists every year to a distinguished character from the field of art, music, culture, science, industry, social service, or sports by the Punyabhushan Structure.
This year, GB Deglurkar, eminent archaeologist, was adjudged the recipient of the award.
Naidu, who handed over the award, also hired all Indians to join and combat the dominating social evils.
” The whole world is looking upto India. All existing social evils based upon caste, creed, faith, sex and area need to be done away with, as we are One Nation and One People. We need to aim to promote our culture, which is a way of living, besides working to keep peace and harmony in the country. There is a requirement to change the mindset of our younger generation, who should be outlined our abundant history and past. Only then will India be a strong nation,” stated Naidu.
Calling archaeology as “a science far more trustworthy than other sciences”, Naidu stated, “Archaeology is the bridge in between the past and the present. All details offered through historical excavations give verification of our past. This will cause re-discovery of our history and ancestry.”
Speaking on the celebration, Deglurkar said, “Though archaeology and archaeologists are ruled out “progressive” like other scholars, our contribution is to reconstruct and put up genuine history through excavations.”
” Frequent elections matter of fantastic issue”
Describing the model code of conduct that entered impact in Maharashtra last week with the Assembly elections approaching, Naidu stated, “Frequent elections in the country refers fantastic concern as everybody has to follow 3 actions– election, surakshan and correction. In the interest of the country, there ought to be just one election performed within 15 days so that there is no diversion of the public work.”
